Services integration with concrete buildings - Guidance for a defect-free interface (IEP 3/2004)

Co-Construct publication - Third guide in a series called Interface Engineering Publications designed to appeal to both structural and services design engineers. BSRIA and The Concrete Society have pooled their technical knowledge to provide both professions with consistent interlocking advice. Provides designers with guidance on the provision of both vertical and horizontal holes through concrete elements, both pre-formed and post-formed. Section headings cover early design issues, structural design, services detailed design, services fixings to concrete, integrated systems, refurbishment. In order to demonstrate how many of the key interfaces should be handled, it includes a recent project as a case study: The concrete-framed headquarters for the SAS Institute in Buckinghamshire. Includes details of relevant European and British Standards. This guide is part of our IEP Set see abstract.
